Randy Viales

Randy Viales was born in Costa Rica in 1983, in the city of Liberia, Guanacaste. This city is better known as the "White City" due to its unique white gravel roads and whitewashed colonial houses, which provided the initial landscapes that influenced his artistic vision and aesthetics. During his adolescence, he pursued studies in art and music at the Felipe Pérez Pérez Art Education Center, where he specialized in piano.

Subsequently, he relocated to the province of Cartago to enroll in Materials Science and Engineering at the Technological Institute of Costa Rica. Despite his engineering studies and eventual graduation, he remained devoted to his passions for drawing, music, and painting. These creative disciplines served as a supportive backdrop during his academic and scientific pursuits. His engineering education contributed to enhancing his grasp of physical space and equipping him with tools to harmonize the realm of imagination with reality, achieved through composition and artistic creation.

Between 2011 and 2020, Randy delved into diverse techniques encompassing oil painting, acrylic painting, and artistry on the human canvas, namely tattoos. However, his artistic focus shifted in 2021 towards digital painting, employing applications tailored for animation and digital artistry. Relocating to the city of Haifa, Israel in 2021, he furthered his journey, and by 2022, during a temporary residency in Israel, he finalized and introduced his inaugural collection titled "Cosmic Ocean Creatures." This collection marked his breakthrough as a digital artist.
